• Vent one side of your flange while purging the other side
• Multiple Ports can be added, venting one or both sides
• Safer, quicker and easier than traditional practices
• Prevents damage to flanges from makeshift spacers
We’ve combined the benefits of both the EZ Vent® and EZ Purge® blinds into our new EZ Vent-Purge® blinds! Safely purge the line when performing "Hot Work" using the Purge side while bleeding and controlling dangerous pressure or fluid upstream with the Vent side. Save time and money by combining these two useful blinds into a single combination blind!
EZ Vent® Details
The EZ Vent allows you to block flow on one side of the blind while allowing access to relieve or purge the other side, making downstream work much safer in the event there's a leaking valve upstream.
Useful if there is not a valve on your Piping at that location, the EZ Vent Slip Blind is the easiest way to verify there is zero energy in the line, vent off any pressure that has leaked by upstream valves, and create an entry point for hydrotesting.
EZ Purge® Details
For line purging applications, past practice has been to use a slip blind and number of spacers sandwiched between the blind and the gapped flange. While this procedure can effectively be used to create a purging area, a number of problems exist which can lead to unsafe practices and/or damage to equipment.
The EZ Purge blind creates a "stand off" area at the flange site, allowing for line purging. The EZ Purge blind seals evenly, eliminating damage to flange gasket surfaces often associated with the dated practices of using wedges, tubing, or other metals to create space between the blind and flange.
We have a special handle designating it is a vent-purge blind, it is a combination of a "V" notch in the middle and one edge of the top will be rounded with a hole in it forming the letter "P" when viewed from the "Purge" side.
